October Shows and In-Betweens

After a few shows in September, I’m taking on a more manageable pace on the way to Halloween (and before things get real hairy in November!) I’ve got just one show this month here in Edmonton, so I’ll be throwing all my musical eggs into that sweet Empress Ale House basket. Or keg? Get ready.

The In-Betweens (Or, How I Fill My Time)

With THRILLS! just a month young, I’ll be keeping plenty busy this month working my up to another release. I’m hoping to head back into the studio with Harry Gregg to finish up a track or two.

I’ve been beefing up my home studio to make more music in the cracks between the rest of life. I now have a lovely set of drum mics (well, a usable set at least). I’m diving into a rabbit hole of youtube tutorials, in case you don’t hear from me for a while.

I’ve been writing new music, too.

I have a new song I cannot wait to share with you. It’s called “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” and you’ll hear it live at Empress.

I’ve built up a database of venues in Alberta to contact for shows outside my home town. So let’s dub October “National Cold-Calls Month”, shall we? I mean, with Halloween around the bend I cannot think of anything more terrifying.
