Hello from the bow tie bunker!
Spring is creeping up fast and with the warmer weather I’m getting ready to hit the road for a series of shows that will take me around the province. Here’s where you can catch Von Bieker performances this month, along with event and ticket links.
March 14 – 7 PM – Red Deer
Red Hart Brewing One Year Birthday Bash (with Small-Tones)
Admission: FREE
I’ve really taken a liking to the good folks who launched Red Hart Brewing a year ago. Lucky for me, I think the feeling is mutual. I’ll be playing my third show at Red Hart in the past six months on Saturday, March 14 and this time I’m bringing the boys in the band.
Expect great craft beer, a heartwarming sense of community and some very fun party-rocking covers of tunes from Diana Ross, Prince, Fleetwood Mac and more.
March 19 – 7:30 PM – Lac La Biche
Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park
Tickets: $15
I’m bringing my Bow Tie Rock to the 100-seat community theatre at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park and I look forward to meeting a lot of new friends there. I’ll also be stopping by the local school to perform in the afternoon as part of a special day they are hosting featuring storytellers.
I’ll definitely pull out my Alberta road song, If You Want Me To Come Home I Will.
March 20 – 8:30 – Calgary
Koi
Tickets: FREE (restaurant venue)
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Calgary venue and restaurant Koi. They are supporters of the arts and live local music, so I cannot wait to test out their stage’s ‘stomp-ability’. It looks like I’ll be joined by some Calgary friends for the night too, so if you’re living in home of the great Stampede, be sure to stop in and say howdy.
