Happy New Year (and New Beer)

Hey everyone - just a quick note in the midst of crazy times in bowtie land (more on that in the coming weeks I promise).

The craft brewery I've been serving at has brought a little dream of mine to life - my very own Von Bieker beer!

The Bow-Tie-PA is a Brut IPA - think half champagne, half pale ale. It's crisp and dry and, after trying it last night, I can confirm it's delicious.

If you are in Edmonton, the brew is available at the Bent Stick taproom now (in cans and on tap), but the big launch day is tomorrow - New Year's Eve.

I'll be playing a couple of sets between 2 and 4 tomorrow at Bent Stick with some of my Small-Tones to celebrate the release!

Along with my version of Auld Lang Syne, this has been a pretty great way to close out 2023.

If you're in town and around I'd love to see you tomorrow afternoon and wish you a happy new year in person.
