For those who just want Christmas to end

Hey you beautiful people, the second song I wrote yesterday is now live on YouTube and I'd love to share it with you.

A few years ago I was part of a "Blue Christmas" art exhibit and a "Longest Night" service. I met someone who had lost her father the year before these events, and another person who'd lost her husband. Christmas is hard for these women, and I've met more since who struggle through the jingling bells of Christmas Time.

I had these friends in my heart as I wrote this song.

I love Christmas – I love the hope of the Nativity story and I even love the craziness and glitter of it all. But since hearing these stories the season has taken on a weight and depth for me that I hold alongside my 'tidings of joy'.

May this song be 'tidings of comfort'.
